Instructional Technology Working Group ~ Getting ready for 2007

What we will discuss.... WebCT upgrade, "clickers", new uses of the web, podcasting, secure online exams, distance course delivery, U-Source integration, advances in online library services, ... the list goes on.
Join other members of the ITWG to set a tentative agenda for upcoming talks for the 2006 - 2007 ITWG program. As well, Teresa Dawson, the new Director of the Learning and Teaching Centre will be joining us. Even if you can only drop by for a little while, come along to HHB 128 and meet Teresa.

2006 New Faculty Orientation

New Faculty and Librarians and their families will be provided with an orientation to UVic services and programs. The orientation will also be a chance for New Faculty to network with their colleagues.

In planning your pre-term activities, please consider a great opportunity to find out about issue relevant to your role as a sessional instructor at UVic.  Also, the Learning and Teaching Centre hopes you will take advantage of two days of "teaching tune-ups" in preparation for fall term.
The 2006 Sessional Instructor Orientation will include:
~ Tuesday, August 29, 2006 ~ Sessional Instructor Orientation Welcome Lunch, Afternoon of discussions, and Sessional Orientation BBQ in the evening
~ Wednesday ~ Thursday, August 30 ~ 31, 2006 ~ Two days of Teaching Tune-ups
