Teresa teaches the Intro Human Geography course in Geography, is past chair of the national Educational Developers Caucus (EDC) and sits on the Board for the Canadian Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE).

Scholarly Interests: Donna’s teaching and research focus on teacher development and the intersection between teacher knowledge and beliefs, pedagogy, and student learning outcomes in inclusive classrooms where student diversity is the norm. She is interested in the application of Universal Design for Learning guidelines to instructional planning and implementation at all levels, including higher education. She has considerable instructional, clinical, and research experience in augmentative and alternative communication, and assistive technologies that, when coupled with sound pedagogy, enable student participation and learning.

Scholarly Interests: The impact on University faculty of transforming contemporary trends, in particular, new pedagogic technologies and related teaching theory and design. Specific interests include educational futurism with a focus on University teachers, for example: potential future roles and career paths; resultant and emergent professional development needs; innovative pedagogies to support both instructors and students equally. Writers of current interest are Facer, Frey, Freenberg and Siemens while pedagogies include Laurillard's 'Conversational Framework' and Garrison's 'Community of Inquiry'.
